Dr. Reaves C. Cole graduated from the University of Florida with Honors in 1996, earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Sciences. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1998. Dr. Cole received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2001. He served as student doctor and clinical extern in private practice, pediatrics, primary care, and ocular disease at prestigious institutions throughout his training. Much of Dr. Cole’s final year of training was spent focusing on ocular disease at the world-famous Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL. Dr. Cole has had the honor of being a Florida Board Certified Optometric Physician since

September of 2001.

Dr. Reaves C. Cole has extensive training and experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases and disorders of the eyes. His optometric training at the prestigious, ocular disease centered, Pennsylvania College of Optometry and his clinical externship at the world-famous Bascom Palmer Eye Institute provided a firm foundation on which he has honed his clinical expertise. Dr. Cole held a fulltime position within the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System from 2001 through 2004 where he served our Veterans as an optometric physician in the eye clinic under the surgical service, before opening Lake City Eye Physicians and Cole Optics in February of 2004. He was fortunate enough to maintain his affiliation with the Veterans Health System as a contract physician, after going into private practice, until 2011.
